Rural Non-farm Development Agency
(RUDA).was established in Nov. 1995, by the Government of Rajasthan, as an independent
agency to promote theRural Non-farm sector (RNFS) in the state. RUDA follows a Sub-sectorial,
Integrated and cluster based approach for promoting rural Micro enterprises as viable
avenues of sustainable employment.RUDA’s pragmatic approach of micro-enterprise
development has been recognized by organizations like:World Bank, NIFT, FDDI, CGCRI
who have availed the expertise of RUDA for strategy formulation and implementation.
RUDA provide training to the artisans
of non farm sector, the artisans associated in tasks like pottery, leather goods,
handicraft, woolen items, stones ceramics etc. conducting events like trainings,
workshops, fairs, exhibitions, etc to provide a platform to them so that they can
be self independent. RUDA provides employment to thousands of below poverty line
(BPL) artisans.
RUDA is a government agency and do
not take any share from the profit earned by the artisans, it just provides them
a platform where they can come across buyers, know about the latest market needs,
empower themselves to face the market demands.
